Nine senior students from Fraser Academy had the opportunity to spend two weeks in Honduras over Spring Break. They had an amazing trip! Students were highly engaged in amazing experiential learning opportunities, showing great curiosity.
Fraser Academy is excited to announce Odyssey – a research-based, innovative form of education that brings together a maximum of 10 students to form a cohort for their grade 11 year.
Nineteen students in grade 7-9 participated in a 3-day, 2-night trip to Manning Provincial Park, where they were introduced to winter camping and a variety of winter activities.
Grade 10 Social Studies students had the opportunity to go on an overnight trip to the Alice Lake Longhouse to learn some indigenous skills from a member of the Squamish Nation.
Seventeen students in Gr 9-12 successfully hiked 33 km over 3 days in Garibaldi Park. Starting at Cheakamus Lake, they made the ascent to their first camp at Helm Creek in an open meadow with scenic views.
The twelve grade 5 students at Fraser Academy had the opportunity to go on a co-curricular overnight camping trip to Alice Lake to start off the school year.
