Orton-Gillingham Training: Associate

Prerequisites for Part 1

• A Bachelor’s Degree
• Fluency in the English language
• Experience working with children
• Completion of the OG Subscriber Course from the OGA (Orton-Gillingham Academy)

Prerequisites for Part 2

• Proof of completion – OG Training: Associate Part 1 coursework

Application Package for Part 1

Please submit an application package that contains the following via our online form:

• Current resume
• Handwritten Letter of Introduction
• A letter of reference, work-related (including information about professionalism, character, ability to work with children, and any previous tutoring experience)
• Copy of your Subscriber Membership Certificate from the OGA (you will become a Subscriber Member once you complete the OG Subscriber Course)
• $100 non-refundable processing fee (see below for payment options)

Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. We will review your application upon receipt and notify you by email of your acceptance into the course.

Application Package for Part 2

Please submit an application package that contains the following via our online form:

• Completed application form
• Current resume
• $100 non-refundable processing fee (see below for payment options). Note: the OG Training: Associate Part 2 coursework application fee will be waived if applied for in conjunction with the OG Training: Associate Part 1 coursework.

OG Training: Associate Part 1 Coursework

• $1,350 (includes non-refundable processing fee ($100), coursework tuition, and materials)

You are required to pay the full coursework tuition fee at the time of acceptance in order to complete registration.

As of the application deadline (two weeks prior to course start date), all course fees are non-refundable.

OG Training: Associate Part 2 Coursework

• $1,100 (includes non-refundable processing fee ($100), coursework tuition, and materials)

You are required to pay the full coursework tuition fee at the time of acceptance in order to complete registration.

OG Training: Associate Practicum

Completion of the OG Training: Associate practicum requires 10 observations over a period of at least 8 months. The fee is $235 per observation.
