Sarah Hoye obtained her Master’s in Creative Arts Therapy (with Education) from Concordia University, a PDP for teaching from Simon Fraser University, and a BFA from the University of Victoria. Ms. Hoye worked and studied in England, France, and Italy before settling back in Vancouver, where she was raised.

She began her teaching career in 2001, working at York House School, West Point Grey Academy, and with the Richmond School Board. A highly dedicated educator, she works to inspire her students to love learning and thrive.

Ms. Hoye joined Fraser Academy in 2018, where she trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach and quickly found a deep sense of purpose in supporting diverse learners. While working at Fraser, she discovered that she is dyslexic—a realization that was both transformative and deeply meaningful. She also comes from a family where many members are dyslexic, which further deepens her understanding and commitment to helping students with learning differences. This personal insight has strengthened her connection to her students, as she truly understands the challenges they face. Her own journey has made her even more passionate about helping students succeed, bringing empathy, insight, and authenticity to her teaching.

In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, painting, and practicing yoga.
