Rod Johnston
Board ChairRod Johnston obtained his undergraduate degree in Business from the University of British Columbia in 1976 and then earned his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation (now called Chartered Professional Accountant or CPA) in 1978. In 2010, he was elected as a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of B.C. Mr. Johnston spent 35 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Vancouver from 1976 to 2011, with the final 25 years serving as an equity partner of the firm. During this time, he led various business units of PwC on a Canadian-wide basis. In 2011, Rod took early retirement from PwC in order to found Adventus, a REIT which he established to invest in U.S. commercial real estate. Rod is currently the President and CEO of Adventus, which owns and operates over $1 billion of U.S. commercial office properties.
Rod has served on the Board for the Fraser Academy Association since 2007, and the Foundation Board since 2011. He and his wife, Debra, have three adult children, one of whom attended Fraser Academy. Rod is an avid sports enthusiast.
