Who We Are

Melissa Ramirez joined Fraser Academy in 2022 as a Laboratory Technician. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and has over 20 years of experience in science education, working with students from elementary through secondary levels.

Ms. Ramirez has an extensive background as a biology, environmental science, and general science teacher in Mexico, where she designed hands-on, action-oriented learning experiences that connected students with nature through laboratory work, gardening, greenhouse management, and environmental projects. She has worked with diverse student populations, and is passionate about playful, experiential learning that makes science accessible, meaningful, and engaging for all learners.

At Fraser Academy, she supports science teachers by preparing experiments, maintaining laboratory equipment, and helping create safe, well-organized, and effective learning environments.

Outside the laboratory, Ms. Ramirez is a passionate athlete. She has completed multiple marathons and triathlons, including two Ironman races.
