Who We Are

Lauren Gilgan joined the Fraser Academy team in 2017. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in New Media in 2011 followed by a Bachelor of Education with a major in Art Education in 2012 from the University of Lethbridge. She is the leader of the Vancouver chapter of an all-female art collective called the Big Kitty Crew, where she is helping empower women in the urban art scene.

Ms. Gilgan loves to teach photography and media design in the middle and senior school years because the endless flow of creativity allows students to discover self-expression in unique and interesting ways. As the executive director of the annual yearbook, Ms. Gilgan is continually honing her photography skills as an event photographer for the school and leads a team of hard working individuals to bring long lasting memories to the student body.
