Who We Are

Jamie Girouard joined Fraser Academy in 2014 as a Technology Education Teacher.

Mr. Girouard has earned a Diploma in Technology Teacher Education from BCIT, a Studio Arts diploma from Capilano University, a Bachelor’s of Education from UBC and most recently, a Master’s of Educational Technology from Memorial University.

Prior to joining the team at Fraser Academy, Mr. Girouard worked for many years in the outdoor recreation industry. He has worked with youth in many capacities, including wilderness programs, summer camps, and as a stay-at-home dad. Mr. Girouard is passionate about hands-on learning and student engagement in the classroom and he is actively involved in the Outdoor Education program.

Outside the classroom, Mr. Girouard is a visual artist who specializes in primitive rug hooking. He is enthusiastic about watersports, and enjoys reading, and playing and spending time outdoors with his family.
