Who We Are

Heather D’Amore began her career as an educator in her hometown of Edmonton, where she obtained her Bachelor’s of Education from the University of Alberta. After moving to BC in 2017, she continues to practice a thoughtful, lifelong approach to education.

Ms. D’Amore joined the Fraser Academy team in 2024; this continues to be a point of pride for her as she is passionate about providing opportunities and support for students who have complex learning profiles.

Combining a diverse academic background with over 15 years of experience, Ms. D’Amore is dedicated to providing inclusive and individualized learning experiences. Drawing on her history as a Special Needs Educator and her training in the Orton-Gillingham approach, she favours a dynamic and intentional teaching style. This approach fosters resilience and compassion in her students while effectively meeting their academic goals.
