Who We Are

Heather Altas joined Fraser Academy in July 2022 as Chief Advancement Officer. In her role, Ms. Altas will oversee the full scope of Advancement, including marketing & communications, philanthropy, and alumni relations. She will lead a major fundraising campaign to realize a new campus, expand programming, and increase access to services.

A strategic fundraising leader, her non-profit career spans close to two decades in arts education and health. Most recently, Heather held the position of Senior Director, Development at Arts Umbrella where she led their successful $37M+ capital and endowment fund campaign for a new home on Granville Island.

Bringing a clear passion for education, youth, and Fraser Academy’s vision, Ms. Altas shares:

A respected professional in the field, Ms. Altas has also held roles with the Association of Fundraising Professionals, including past Co-Chair of National Philanthropy Day.
