Who We Are

Denise Lamarche is a lifelong K-12 academic leader with more than two decades in independent schools. She is known for building educators’ capacity through observation, mentorship, and professional learning, and for putting student well-being at the centre of academic strategy.

Ms. Lamarche comes to Fraser Academy from St. Michaels University School in Victoria, where she served as Director of Academics for 15 years with responsibility for academic strategy, professional learning, and experiential program design. Her career began in Vancouver, where she taught at St. Patrick’s Regional Secondary and went on to serve as University Counsellor and Head of Languages at Collingwood School, and later as Director of Student Services and Director of Senior School at Crofton House School. Along the way, Ms. Lamarche has coached athletics teams and led student council and graduation programs.

She holds a Bachelor of Education from McGill University and a Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University. Ms. Lamarche believes every student deserves an education that builds strong literacy and numeracy alongside critical thinking, problem-solving, empathy, and resilience, delivered by teachers who know each learner well.
