Dave Horn
Deputy Head of School EmailMr. Horn believes that every child deserves an educational environment in which they can thrive.
In addition to a BSC in biology from the University of Victoria and a Masters in Educational Technology from UBC, Dave has also completed the Orton-Gillingham Associate course work and attended the International Dyslexia Association Conferences, among other Professional development programs. As a result, he understands the importance of remediation and how it integrates into classroom practice.
Dave first started at Fraser Academy in 2008 and took on a number of roles including becoming FA’s first Head of Department in Science in 2009. He has a wealth of experience in Leadership, having piloted a 1:1 device program integrating technology into pedagogy, developing risk management and safety protocols, and International student travel. In 2016, he also took on the role of Acting Deputy Head of School before moving to West Island College in Calgary where he was the Principal of the Junior High School, and then Director of Academic Operations.
