Danielle Garinger
Director of Athletics and PHE Teacher EmailDanielle Garinger holds degrees in Kinesiology and Education from the University of Western Ontario. She began her teaching career in Career Education, spending a decade helping students develop essential life skills such as goal-setting, communication, and self-advocacy, before transitioning to Physical Education and Athletics.
Ms. Garinger played on a competitive travel fastpitch team in Ontario, winning multiple provincial titles and two national championships. She went on to compete at the university level with the Western Mustangs. Today, coaching remains one of her favourite aspects of the job, offering a meaningful way to help students strengthen their resilience, teamwork, and sense of accomplishment through sport.
Ms. Garinger’s teaching philosophy is rooted in a student-first approach that emphasizes strong relationships, personal growth, and a positive mindset. She is committed to fostering confidence while teaching discipline, effort, and character — both in sport and in life.
