Who We Are

Damien Waugh is the Director of Experiential, Environmental and Outdoor Education, and has been teaching Math and Science, and leading local and international outdoor trips at Fraser Academy since 2011. Mr. Waugh worked as a forensic and environmental chemist before his teaching career took him overseas to China and England. His education includes a BSc in Chemistry from SFU, and BEd and MEd in Curriculum and Pedagogy from UBC.

Mr. Waugh enjoys creating meaningful interdisciplinary learning experiences for students in the outdoors. He values building relationships with all students and facilitating the discovery and development of their strengths. Outside of school, Mr. Waugh spends time trail-running, cycle touring, and hiking.
