Who We Are

Colleen Jones received her Bachelor of Education degree in 2007 from the University of Alberta and trained in the Orton-Gillingham method at Fraser Academy. While teaching in the public school system as a K-12 Language Arts classroom teacher, Ms. Jones noticed that a number of students faced various social and learning difficulties. This motivated her to seek specialized reading intervention training and inspired her to build a classroom culture grounded in metacognition.

Ms. Jones joined Fraser Academy in 2017. She is passionate about teaching, assessing and implementing what each individual needs to become a successful and independent learner.
