Cecile Poulin
Learning Specialist EmailCecile Poulin began her professional learning journey with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology from UBC. This led to her working as a care aid and special education assistant for the Vancouver School Board. She discovered her passion for teaching and helping others, and completed her Bachelor’s of Education at the University of Victoria. She taught in the public system in the Okanagan from 1999-2003 before moving to Chiangmai, Thailand, to teach at an IB PYP international school from 2003-2006. Upon returning to Canada, Ms. Poulin taught grades 1-2 at Mulgrave School in West Vancouver, from 2006-2020, where she continued to hone her skills as an IB PYP teacher. During this time, she completed her Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership from Vancouver Island University. Ms. Poulin continued her learning journey at Alcuin College from 2020-2022 in North Vancouver, teaching grades 1-3.
Ms. Poulin seeks to foster a love of learning through an inquiry-based approach, and she inspires her students to take ownership of their learning. As a Learning Specialist, Ms. Poulin looks forward to using the OG approach to help students at Fraser Academy.
