Bryson Norrish
Head of School Email|604 736 5575 ext 5502Bryson Norrish began at Fraser Academy in 2010, and was most recently Assistant Head of School from 2019-2022. Prior to assuming this role he worked at Fraser Academy in the capacities of Director of Information Technology, Department Head, and as a Teacher.
He earned a Diploma in Technology Teacher Education in 2007 from BCIT, a Bachelors of Education from UBC in 2008, and a Masters of Educational Leadership and Administration at UBC in 2016. Mr. Norrish completed the CAIS Leadership Institute Diploma for Senior Leaders in Education in 2019 and the CAIS Next Steps Program in 2021.
Mr. Norrish brings with him significant experience in education for children with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences, along with outstanding leadership skills. As an educator, he is an advocate for highly personalized education and the transformative approach of the Orton-Gillingham multisensory methodology. As a senior leader at Fraser Academy, Mr. Norrish has been responsible for the development and implementation of School strategic priorities, including the redevelopment of the school’s timetable to prioritize the needs of our students, and a focus on assistive technology in the classroom. Pushing the momentum of the school forward, he has helped the School increase its enrolment from 200 to 270 students and is actively working on the School’s Building Committee to realize a campus for future generations.
Mr. Norrish is a champion for all dyslexics and is committed to each student’s success. He takes great pride in seeing all Fraser Academy students thrive, is proud of their achievements and excited for their future.
