Bryson Norrish has been a highly valued member of the Fraser Academy team since 2010. He is a passionate leader who is committed to working alongside students as they develop good character, accountability and independence.
He earned a Diploma in Technology Teacher Education in 2007 from BCIT, a Bachelors of Education from UBC in 2008, and a Masters of Educational Leadership and Administration at UBC in 2016. Mr. Norrish completed the CAIS Leadership Institute Diploma for senior leaders in education in 2019.
In the classroom, Mr. Norrish believes in the importance of teaching self-advocacy and developing projects that intrinsically motivate his students. He has a strong interest in integrating technology in the classroom and in 2014 was selected by Google to become a Certified Innovator. He regularly presents on EdTech at conferences and works closely with staff to engage students in proficient and healthy use of technology. He shares his interest in technology with students by leading the Senior VEX Robotics Team, which competes locally at various competitions throughout the year.
As a senior leader at Fraser Academy, Mr. Norrish has been involved in developing and implementing strategic priorities of the School. Pushing the momentum of the school forward, he has helped the School increase its enrolment from 200 to 260 students and is actively working on the School’s Building Committee to secure a long-term campus for future generations.
