Bryson Norrish has been a highly valued member of the Fraser Academy team since 2010 and is a passionate leader who is committed to supporting students in developing character, accountability and independence. He embodies the values of the school: Resilience, Acceptance, Innovation, Self-Reliance and Excellence.
Mr. Norrish earned a Diploma in Technology Teacher Education in 2007 from BCIT, a Bachelors of Education from UBC in 2008, and a Masters of Educational Leadership and Administration at UBC. He completed the CAIS Leadership Institute Diploma for senior leaders in education in 2019.
A passionate educator, Mr. Norrish has a strong interest in integrating technology and in 2014 was selected by Google to become a Certified Innovator. He regularly presents on EdTech at conferences and works closely with staff to engage students in proficient and healthy use of technology. Mr. Norrish leads the Sr VEX Robotics Team, which competes locally at various competitions throughout the year.
As a senior leader, Mr. Norrish is involved in developing and implementing strategic priorities of the School. Pushing the momentum of the school forward, he has helped the School increase its enrolment from 200 to 260 students and is actively working on the School’s Building Committee to secure a long-term campus for future generations.
