Who We Are
Alexandra McGillLearning Specialist Email
Alexandra McGill began her career in education as a high school English teacher in Sydney, Australia. From 2014 to 2019, she taught students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds; many of whom had gaps in their learning and had become disengaged in their schooling.
Driven by the belief that all students deserve to find success in school, Ms. McGill sought out every possible professional development opportunity to increase her expertise in teaching students with learning differences. When she moved to Vancouver at the beginning of 2021, Ms. McGill found Fraser Academy and her eyes were opened to the world of Orton-Gillingham. She completed her Orton-Gillingham Associate course work with Fraser Academy and began tutoring in the FAx Outreach Centre.
Ms. McGill adores working with young people and feels privileged to be a part of their journey through school. She hopes to bring her passion for language, literature and nature to her students and learn just as much from them!
