Parent Resource

Our wellness philosophy is that socio-emotional health is just as important as physical health, and integral to academic success.

The goal of Fraser Academy’s counselling department is to facilitate our student’s personal growth, wellness and overall development. Our three school counsellors all hold clinical counselling designations, with Master’s level education in counselling.

Our counsellors support the social and emotional health and well-being of all students. Counselling is offered in a safe and confidential space for students of all ages. Students are able to discuss their personal issues and concerns and learn better coping strategies to enhance their relationships with others. Counsellors also provide resources to students, their families and educators. Our counsellors handle topics and issues that can be resolved in 5-7 sessions.

Post-Secondary Planning counsellors support self-knowledge and awareness towards finding a post-secondary program that fits each student’s personal development and career goals.
