Welcoming Our New Leadership and Admin Team

56094

As we open our doors for a new school year, Fraser Academy is delighted to welcome several new faces to our leadership team and staff. To help get to know them a bit better, we asked them a little bit about themselves, and got them to share why they’re excited to start at Fraser.

Ms. Lamarche | Deputy Head of School

With 27 years of educational experience across CAIS and ISABC schools, and most recently serving as Director of Academics at St. Michaels University School, Ms. Lamarche brings a wealth of expertise to Fraser. A passionate advocate for experiential and interdisciplinary learning, she is excited to collaborate with faculty to create meaningful, engaging, and personalized learning experiences for students.

Outside of school, Ms. Lamarche enjoys reading historical fiction and has maintained a lifelong love of game nights. In fact, she always keeps a deck of cards in her office for anyone who is up for a game.

Mr. Slivinski | Head of Junior School

Mr. Slivinski comes to Fraser Academy with extensive experience as an elementary principal, classroom teacher, college instructor, and writer. A graduate of the University of British Columbia with a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration, he is widely recognized for his empathetic approach to leadership. He looks forward to bringing his passion for literacy and community-building to our Junior School team.

Outside of school, Mr. Slivinski has a surprising fun fact: he once appeared in a few commercials and short films during a short-lived acting career that he describes as a fun side quest.

Ms. Hesketh | Registrar

Ms. Hesketh is joining us as the new Registrar at Fraser Academy. They hold a BA in Psychology from McGill University, where their studies and research strengthened their interest in understanding and supporting individuals with diverse learning needs and experiences. Having attended a small independent school themselves, they value the close-knit community and warmth that these environments foster.

They were particularly drawn to Fraser because of its commitment to serving students who may not always receive the understanding, support, and care they deserve within a mainstream education system. They are excited to bring their passion for supporting students and families to the Fraser community!

Ms. Virtusio | Executive Assistant to the Head of School

With more than 17 years of experience supporting executive leadership across the software, biotech, and healthcare sectors, Ms. Virtusio brings a strong background in operations, organization, and relationship management to Fraser. Throughout her career, she has supported CEOs, medical leaders, and clinical teams, coordinated teams across North America and Europe.

Inspired by a close family friend’s experience navigating dyslexia, Mina is proud to be part of a school dedicated to empowering students with the tools and confidence to succeed.

We’re so excited to welcome these new team members to the Fraser Academy community. If you see them around campus during pick-up, drop-off, or at school events, be sure to say hello and help give them a warm Fraser welcome!
