The Lomnes Family’s Commitment to Students with Dyslexia
For the past five years, Audrey and Randy Lomnes have been steadfast supporters of the Fraser Academy Bursary Fund, driven by a deeply personal connection and a passionate belief in the school’s mission. Their grandson, Brandon, diagnosed with dyslexia, struggled in the public school system before finding a nurturing and transformative environment at FA.
Attending Fraser from Grades 6 to 12, Brandon thrived, becoming active in the music program and improving academically, ultimately graduating as a confident and accomplished young man. We feel that FA is playing a crucial role in helping to provide what children need to thrive.
Audrey and Randy LomnesThe Lomnes’ ongoing commitment stems from witnessing the profound impact the school had on Brandon’s life and their growing awareness of the challenges dyslexia poses. “Many children with dyslexia face significant obstacles when it comes to getting an adequate education and learning the skills necessary to survive in today’s world,” says Audrey.
Audrey and Randy choose to designate their donations towards the Bursary Fund to ensure that financial barriers do not hinder any child’s access to quality education. They believe that empowering children with dyslexia is vital for their personal development and the prosperity of society. Through their generosity, they are helping provide life-changing education to those in need
