Philanthropy at Fraser Academy
Our own Fraser Academy community has so many examples of philanthropy, including students volunteering during WOW week; running and raising funds for cancer through the Terry Fox Foundation; families, alumni, staff and Board donating towards our students’ educational needs; the PVG’s many efforts throughout the year to build community, show appreciation of staff, and support the school environment; and alumni giving back to mentor and support our current students.
It is key to Fraser Academy’s culture, and we are committed to continue to grow that culture in service of empowering our students to realize their potential.
"As I walk through the Fraser Academy doors, I immediately feel the love of the school. This school would not exist without those who help Fraser Academy grow. It’s an amazing learning opportunity for us. Every cent contributes to our success. Thank you!" Twyla D, Former Student
Philanthropy stands as a statement of our belief in each student’s potential: Thinking differently is a strength when properly nurtured through education.
It inspires us to build better awareness, understanding and pride in the value of thinking differently.
P.S. Recently we launched our annual appeal through the Defying Gravity Campaign. We hope our community will pull together to support our students through this campaign during the school year. On, or around, Giving Tuesday would be a great day to make a gift… or by December 31st before the tax year ends!
