Odyssey 2021: The Adventure Begins

42139

The Odyssey students have been in full swing over the past two weeks assessing risks in mountain terrain, practicing simulated avalanche rescues and first aid skills, learning from Indigenous knowledge keepers about local plants, and exploring species adaptations and biodiversity.

They successfully completed their Avalanche Skills Training and Wilderness First Responder courses, all while learning about the history of the land we call home, the power of literary devices, taxonomy, and the fantastic and fascinating world of fungi!

They are looking forward to spending this week in Pacific Spirit forest building drums, observing trees, and learning about Indigenous plant knowledge!
