Odyssey 2020 started off the semester with lots of adventures. They spent time in Pacific Spirit Park observing and identifying our native tree species, followed by a Wilderness First Aid course. At Callaghan, they spent a day cross-country skiing and biathlon followed by avalanche skills training and an overnight camp in the snow. Students got the opportunity to take in the Coastal First Nations Dance Festival, and learn about the history and current uses of plants by Indigenous peoples on a tour of Stanley Park. Additionally, they spent time investigating the macroinvertebrates found in streams and used their findings to determine the health of Lynn Creek. This was followed by a trip to Lulu Island to learn about how our wastewater is treated and where it ends up.
Basketball is coming to a close and all our teams showed incredible improvement and resilience throughout the season.
Our journey to 2025 is a bold one. It is crucial to increase access to our personalized education, and ensure that more children and youth can realize their potential and thrive.
