Introducing Our New Electric Bus!

Our students, families, and staff, value environmental sustainability. This has led the charge for acquiring Fraser Academy’s first all electric transportation vehicle!

GreenPower is proud to deliver a zero-emission vehicle to Fraser Academy that is healthier for its students and a more sustainable solution for our planet.

Our new green powered bus, the EV Star Plus by GreenPower Motor Company, was purchased with the generous philanthropic support from the Estate of Hilda Atkinson Cordukes, the Atkinson-Potter Family, donors who made tribute gifts in memory of Hilda Atkinson Cordukes and other patrons who supported the 2019-20 Changing Destinies Fund.

Mrs. Hilda Atkinson Cordukes, grandmother of Sarah A., Grade 12, peacefully passed away in 2019 at the age of 94. Hilda had a passion for education and providing opportunities for children to realize their potential. This bus is being dedicated in her loving memory.

As our students set out on their cultural, sports, outdoor and other educational experiences, we expect this new bus to become known as “Hilda’s bus!”

Thanks to our community’s generosity and commitment to the environment, we are able to retire a gas powered vehicle.
