As we approach Spring Break, I have been reflecting on a February defined by the talent and courage of our students. The highlights of the past few weeks speak to the transformation we strive for at Fraser Academy, where the challenges of dyslexia are met with tools for self-expression and confidence.

At Grade 9 Poetry Night, our students demonstrated remarkable creativity and courage, writing and performing their own poems in front of classmates and family members. Stepping up to the microphone to share something so personal takes vulnerability, and the way our students embraced that moment was inspiring to witness.

During Grandparents’ Day, our students proudly shared their growth in academics, art, and athletics. Their pride in their work was evident throughout the day, and we were delighted to hear so many glowing comments from grandparents about the progress they are seeing in their grandchildren.

At the School Play, students who had never been on stage before collaborated with seasoned performers and a dedicated crew to share the spotlight. It was a powerful reminder that when students feel supported and encouraged, they are willing to take risks, try something new, and discover strengths they may not have realized they had.

As we prepare to welcome new families to our community, I am reminded of the journey many of you have also been on—witnessing the toll that dyslexia can take on a child’s joy, learning, and confidence. Seeing these parents regain hope as they begin to imagine their children rediscovering that same spark here is a true testament to the community we have built together.

By sharing these stories with your own circles, you serve as living proof of our mission. Thank you for helping us champion the courage, creativity, and growth that define our students’ journeys.
