Free Early Literacy Screening
Did you know that it is possible to predict signs of potential reading difficulties as early as four years old?
We, as a society, can put measures in place to identify when a child will struggle with learning to read. This can prevent the experience of school failure and emotional distress. It can change the trajectory of a child’s education.
20% of the population has dyslexia (Yale University); 80% will never know. With early screening and intervention, including a science-based approach to reading instruction, research predicts that only 5% of students would remain below grade-level in reading (Right to Read Report, Ontario Human Rights Commission, 2022).
Screening is key to ensuring learners are seen and find the support they need to thrive.
Announcing: Free Early Literacy Screening
With the generous donation of Meredith Kaufman, we are proud to be launching an Early Literacy Screening pilot program (for children 4-7 years old), starting in January 2023.
This program combines a free screening, debrief of results with one of our experts, recommendations for support, and suggested next steps.
Registration Deadline: December 12, 2022
