Evret Tucker: A Passionate Advocate for Drama and Dyslexia

49647

Mr. Tucker, Fraser Academy’s dedicated drama teacher, has been a vibrant presence at the school for seven years. Known for his theatrical, silly, and fun-loving approach, he has created an engaging and supportive environment for his students in the drama classroom. As someone with dyslexia, he deeply relates to his students’ experiences, understanding the challenges and triumphs they face.

This year, Mr. Tucker directed “The Play That Goes Wrong,” a comedy he chose for its humour and the excitement it brought to his students. Seeing the joy in the kids’ eyes when they landed a joke gave him immense pride, knowing he was showing them they can succeed.

In addition to going above and beyond for his students, he is a monthly donor to the Changing Destinies Fund, a commitment he began three years ago. He is motivated by a deep belief in the school’s mission and the positive impact it has on its students. Through his generosity, Mr. Tucker hopes to see more children benefit from the unique strengths of having dyslexia, building their confidence and realizing their potential.
