The City of Vancouver has once again, at our request, officially proclaimed October as Dyslexia Awareness Month, recognizing the importance of building understanding and inclusion for people with dyslexia across our community.

On October 16, 2025, Fraser Academy students and staff visited Vancouver City Hall, where Mayor Ken Sim presented the official proclamation alongside City Councillors Rebecca Bligh, Lisa Dominato, Mike Klassen, and Sean Orr. This proclamation reflects the City’s ongoing commitment to supporting dyslexic learners and the educators, families, and community who advocate for them. Public commitments like this by the City play a vital role in raising awareness, advancing support and ensuring inclusivity for individuals with dyslexia.
