Jo Stebbings has been with Fraser Academy since 2000 and is currently the Director of Research & Program Development for the Outreach Centre.
Her vision is to approach learning from a holistic view that encompasses all aspects of student learning from socio-emotional wellness and developing literacy to engaging cognitive processes and building strategies for executive functions. Ms. Stebbings is the co-creator of Fraser Academy’s school-wide executive functioning curriculum and has presented at the Westcoast Executive Functioning Conference in California and the ResearchILD’s Learning Differences Conference at Harvard Graduate School on “Creating an Executive Functioning Culture: Fraser Academy’s Journey.”
Ms. Stebbings received her Master of Arts in Leadership degree from Royal Roads University in 2012 and her Orton Gillingham Associate certification in 1999. She is an IDA Certified Dyslexia Therapist and a Certified NILD Educational Therapist. She credits the success of Fraser Academy’s remedial programming to the dedicated, compassionate educators who meet students at their level of success, mediate their learning to enhance cognitive and academic outcomes, and inspire them to develop confidence as independent learners.
